Creatine is a compound derived from amino acids, naturally present in meat and seafood. The human body also produces it, primarily in the liver and kidneys, using the amino acids L-arginine, glycine, and S-adenosylmethionine. 

Once produced, creatine is transported through the bloodstream to support energy production in cells across the body.
